The providers at Dallas Hand Center care for competitive athletes of all ages and levels. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries affecting the hand, wrist, and elbow. DHC offers special expertise in both surgical and non-surgical treatments, and we develop a plan tailored to each individual patient’s need and activity level. Our goal is to help athletes and non-athletes achieve the highest possible level of function and return to their previous level of activity in a safe and efficient manner.

On-Site Hand Therapy


Dallas Hand Center offers on-site hand therapy for our patients’ convenience and continuity of care. The in-house therapy department, headed by Nicole White, OTR, CHT ensures excellent communication between doctor and therapist to allow for close monitoring of treatment progress for each of our patients.

Nicole White is a Certified Hand Therapist possessing extensive knowledge in both the educational and applied realms. After completing her Bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University, she pursued a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. During her undergraduate studies, Nicole began working in a hand therapy clinic, and the experience ignited her passion to pursue a specialty in hand therapy. Nicole has been a valued member of the Dallas Hand Center care team since 2012. In 2015, Nicole achieved the added qualification of Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) – a licensed therapist with a minimum of five years experience, including 4,000 hours in hand therapy, and one who has passed a rigorous examination of clinical skills, theory, and anatomy of the upper extremity.

Whether our patients are treated surgically or non-operatively, hand therapy services are offered on-site to help achieve convenience and the best possible outcome.

Hand therapy treatments focus on patient education and hands-on treatment, including:

  • Evaluation of upper extremity function, strength, coordination, sensation, range of motion, and edema
  • Custom splint fabrication
  • Manual therapy
  • Neuromuscular re-education
  • Electrical stimulation
  • Iontophoresis
  • Pain management and inflammation modalities: hot/cold packs, paraffin bath, ultrasound
  • Therapeutic exercise and devices for strengthening, coordination, reconditioning, and dexterity
